Today we had to tidy our rooms and take our suitcases to the meeting point, it was sad to see the room so empty. We went down for breakfast and we had a nice surprise, donuts for breakfast. After that, we had our morning dance and went to lessons to finish our projects.
When we finished our lessons we answered some questions about the different topics (films, art, history, music, sports, Halloween, social media, space and aliens, sport). All our teachers said wonderful things about us and our week together, they are so lovely. Yasin, one of our monitors, did a spectacular freestyle football demonstration. Then, we had a yummy lunch and some ice cream, took some photos and got on the bus.
This English camp has been unforgettable. We had a really good time, made new friends, spoke lots of English and listened to English all day.
Today we woke up with music and after breakfast we did our international morning dance inside, we danced to music from the UK, India and the Netherlands. After that, we went to lessons. We are speaking so much English and our monitors are so fun.
A warm lunch for a cold day, pumpkin puree and chicken with chips. We are very lucky with our chef and this afternoon we got to be chefs ourselves. We made some fantastic desserts and the presentations were very funny. Our teacher pretended to be very serious judges and they really made us laugh. We also learnt some new choreographies for the big party.
And the night arrived, we got ready for the party and everything was so exciting. We had pizza and hamburgers, there was lots of music, lots of dancing … It was really great fun.
A new morning in Busto de Bureba. Today we changed our schedule because of the weather. After a nice breakfast and a waking up dance, we got ready to start our trekking towards the mountains. It was cold and windy but we had a good time anyway, since we could enjoy the views and speak English with our monitors, teachers and new friends. Back at the hostel, we played some games such as Mime, Pictionary or Musical Chair.
After lunch – tasty lentils and ribs- we started our lessons. We talked about lots of interesting things. We also played games between our lessons. Then, the monitors chose the Camper of the Day (Iker Fadrique).
Today was a different night, we were allowed to have dinner in our pyjamas. After dinner we took our sleeping bags to the common room and we were ready for movie night, Shrek.

And the day arrived! We set out at about 10.30 together with the school from La Bañeza. We were so excited! After a short stop to have a snack, we continued our trip and got to Busto de Bureba.
There we were welcomed by the coordinator Haci and the rest of the team.They told us about the organisation of the week and we went to the canteen for lunch.
After lunch, we went to our bedrooms to leave our cases, brush our teeth and choose our beds. Then, we were divided into five groups, where we created a group name, a logo and a dance. The dances were really fun to watch.
It was time to discover the village. We went all around and we stopped at the campsite to buy some sweets.
Back at the hostel we had dinner and enjoyed a Treasure Hunt in groups using our torches outside.
The first day has been amazing. We are looking forward to tomorrow.
Los niños y niñas de 2° A y 2° B de Educación Primaria del Colegio Ntra. Sra. del Carmen de Valladolid, hemos visitado el Museo Nacional de Escultura, situado en un edificio que antiguamente fue un colegio y en el que hoy en día podemos encontrar obras y esculturas de gran valor cultural.
Nuestro taller se llamaba » criaturas fantásticas» y hemos aprendido a identificarlas, nos han contado leyendas sobre la arpía , el grifo y las sirenas y hasta hemos utilizado nuestro amuleto de la suerte para impedir que el basilisco nos dejara petrificados.
Nos ha encantado el museo y sus esculturas de piedra y madera y sobre todo nos han impresionado las gárgolas del patio central y los detalles tallados en los capiteles de las columnas, ¡están llenos de fantasía! Ha sido sin duda una excursión fabulosa y en estos días crearemos en clase nuestro propio bestiario de criaturas fantásticas,
Los alumnos de 1°EP del Colegio Ntra. Sra. del Carmen de Valladolid hemos visitado el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo. Hemos recorrido sus salas siguiendo las huellas de una gatita y de una lechuza 🔎🦉🐱 y por último nos hemos convertido en pintores por un día.
Los alumnos de 1⁰ de bachillerato de Tecnología e Ingeniería y Dibujo Técnico del Colegio Ntra. Sra. del Carmen de Valladolid, hemos ido a visitar las instalaciones de Industrias MAXI situadas en el polígono de Argales.
Esta empresa se dedica al mecanizado de piezas y a soluciones de automatización y robótica para sectores industriales como automoción, aeronáutica y aeroespacial, ferroviaria, alimentación, etc. Cuentan con una gran experiencia y crecimiento en este sector, desde ahí les han presentado a los alumnos un panorama sobre la etapa industrial que vivimos, fomentando un rico diálogo sobre el futuro, el trabajo, etc. Los alumnos correspondieron con una gran participación.
Después siguieron presentando distintos proyectos realizados y comentando más asuntos relevantes para ellos como qué valoran en un futuro trabajador en términos de estudios, aptitudes, etc.
Por último pudimos visitar las instalaciones, una planta de despachos de diseño, una nave donde realizan el mecanizado de piezas torneado y fresado a pequeña y gran escala con distintas coordenadas que permiten la realización de piezas complejas, el departamento de metrología donde se podía comprobar errores de fabricación con novedosas herramientas de medida, las zonas de pintura y soldadura. Y por último, una nave de montaje de sistemas donde iban prueban sus soluciones para cadenas de montaje con proyectos llave en mano.
Sin duda lo mejor y por lo que estamos muy agradecidos a Manuel, Javier y todo el equipo de Industrias Maxi, fue la experiencia inmersiva que nuestros alumnos pudieron tener de este sector, muy importante en su itinerario académico y valorar qué trabajos y estudios buscan en el futuro.
Los alumnos de 1º de bachillerato del Colegio Ntra. Sra. del Carmen hemos visitado las instalaciones del Centro Educativo Cristo Rey, como actividad dentro del Plan de Acción Tutorial.
Fuimos recibidos por Julio Rojo, coordinador de ciclos formativos del centro, que tras darnos información general sobre esta etapa y las distintas maneras de acceso, nos guió a través de las distintas instalaciones y salas en las que se imparten todos los módulos: Sistemas electrotécnicos y automatizados, Mecatrónica Industrial, Automoción, Administración de Sistemas Informáticos en Red, Programación en la producción en fabricación mecánica, Sistemas de Telecomunicaciones e Informáticos y Mantenimiento electrónico.
En cada una de ellas, tanto un profesor especializado como los propios alumnos, nos dieron su visión sobre estos estudios, nos explicaron las prácticas que realizan y nos hablaron de su propia experiencia y de las posibles salidas profesionales.

We went down for breakfast and we had a nice surprise, Cintia’s birthday and we had a little breakfast party with music and chocolate Donuts.
After that we had our morning dance and went to lessons. We finished some projects, talked about sport and our favourite camp activities.
When we finished our lessons we had a snack, then some groups presented their magazine projects. All our teachers said wonderful things about us and our week together, they are so lovely. Yasin, one of our monitors did a spectacular freestyle football demonstration and then we just started dancing all our favourite songs and choreographies again until lunch time.
